Integration Engineer (Always Open) at Chipiron in Paris, FR

Chipiron is building a radically new generation of MRI systems.

We are taking one of the most complex medical technologies in existence and trying to make it radically simpler, cheaper and more accessible.

We have no shortage of hard problems to solve. What we're looking for is exceptional people capable of solving them.

We don't believe great talent should have to wait for an open position. If you're among the best at what you do, have a bias for action, and want to build technology that has never existed before, we'd like to meet you.

Who we're looking for

Your background matters much less than your trajectory. You probably recognize yourself in several of these:

• You are exceptionally good at what you do, and you can show it

• You reason from first principles, not from what already exists

• You take ownership beyond your formal responsibilities

• You hate letting problems sit unresolved

• You make decisions with incomplete information

• You communicate directly, including when you think we're wrong

Key Responsibilities

• Make complex systems work together. Integrate hardware, software, firmware, and embedded subsystems into a fully functional MRI system, ensuring interoperability, synchronization, and reliable performance.

• Own system-level testing and performance. Design and execute rigorous integration, characterization, and validation tests to understand system behavior, identify limitations, and drive improvements.

• Solve problems others can't isolate. Investigate complex cross-disciplinary failures, identify root causes, and implement solutions across hardware, software, signal processing, and system architecture.

• Build the tools that accelerate development. Develop automated testing, monitoring, control, and diagnostic tools to make system integration faster, more reliable, and more efficient.

• Turn prototypes into reliable systems. Lead hands-on assembly, bring-up, testing, and optimization of integrated prototypes, from laboratory experiments to representative operating environments.

• Drive system readiness. Work closely with engineering teams to define integration requirements, verify system performance, and support the transition toward product validation and clinical investigations.

Who We Are

Chipiron is a French startup that is leveraging the emerging properties of ultra-low magnetic fields (<30mT) to build the first light, inexpensive MRI machine without compromising on image quality. We're a team of engineers based in the heart of Paris, and our mission is to revolutionize the medical imaging industry by developing the first plug-and-play, patient-friendly breast MRI that works everywhere.

Our Culture

We are an international, English-speaking team that values technical excellence, interpersonal intelligence, and engagement. At Chipiron, this means we look for people with exceptional analytical ability, who enjoy mastering complex problems and executing with rigor and precision; communicate clearly and concisely, are self-aware and willing to ask for help and to help others when needed; people who go the extra mile, and instinctively move where impact is highest, rather than staying confined to a job description.

This is an always-open opportunity, not necessarily an active vacancy. We review applications on an ongoing basis and reach out when we see a strong potential fit.
