Job Description
Summary: Chevron is a global leader in energy production, and they are seeking SCM Development Program (SCMDP) Interns to gain hands-on experience in Supply Chain Management. The role involves contributing to initiatives that support business and supply chain objectives through market research, data analysis, and participation in digital solutions to improve efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to multiple initiatives that support broader business and supply chain objectives
- Provide exposure to key supply chain initiatives through market research, data and process analysis, and participation in digital solutions
- Perform business intelligence & data visualization (e.g., spend, inventory, cost, etc.)
- Engage in category planning, strategic sourcing, negotiations strategy & execution
- Implement business process improvement across the enterprise (e.g., logistics, contracting, materials management, inventory management, demand planning, etc.)
- Evaluate and deploy digital solutions, including change management
- Benchmark performance and make and/or implement recommendations to improve results
- Conduct market intelligence for existing and new products/services
- Manage projects
Required Qualifications:
- Geographically mobile
- Permanent US Work Authorization
- Prior internship or relevant experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and business acumen, with the ability to translate data into insights
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, including the ability to connect analyses and recommendations to broader business objectives
- Leadership potential, shown through initiative, adaptability, and the ability to influence and collaborate
- An innovative and digitally curious mindset, including openness to leveraging analytics, automation, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI‑enabled tools) to improve supply chain outcomes
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey insights clearly to diverse audiences
- Commitment to teamwork, diversity, inclusion, and integrity
- A strong growth mindset, with openness to learning, experimenting with new approaches, and exploring a variety of Procurement and Supply Chain business areas
- Ability to receive, apply, and learn from feedback to continuously improve performance and impact
Preferred Qualifications:
