Seeking Medical Laboratory Technologist—Hospital Laboratory and Blood Bank for U.S. Government Support – Iraq (Baghdad & Erbil)

Cherokee Federal is recruiting experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist—Hospital Laboratory and Blood Bank to support U.S. government medical operations in Iraq. Maintain laboratory and blood-bank capabilities supporting routine, emergency, trauma, and public-health patient care at the Diplomatic Support Hospital. ** This role Is contingent upon award.

** Secret Clearance Is Preferred Or ability to obtain required clearance for the role

** Per contract, candidate required to work more than 10 hours as regular shift / Overtime hours / holidays and weekends

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen and possess active U.S Passport to qualify.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range: Pay commensurate with experience.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintain laboratory services with blood-bank and blood-typing capability.

• Perform Gram-stain testing.

• Coordinate confirmatory and pathology testing through a certified laboratory.

• Support public health and emergency testing.

• Perform laboratory testing, including:

• Basic and Comprehensive Metabolic Panels

• Lipid profiles

• Thyroid-function tests

• Complete Blood Counts

• Coagulation testing

• D-dimer

• BNP

• CK and Troponin

• Maintain applicable laboratory equipment and supplies.

Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Required Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in the Medical Laboratory Technologist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital laboratory, blood-bank, pathology coordination, emergency testing, or public-health laboratory experience Is preferred.
  
  
• Must pass pre-employment requirements of Cherokee Federal.
