Overview
Chenega Naswik International, LLC is seeking an experienced and professional Lieutenant to support security operations at a U.S. Government facility. This position is responsible for supervising security personnel, overseeing daily shift operations, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements, security procedures, and operational standards.
- The ideal candidate is a strong leader who excels in personnel management, operational oversight, and security operations. This role requires sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to maintain workforce readiness while supporting mission-critical operations in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and operational oversight of assigned security personnel.
Support security operations including access control, traffic control, patrol activities, and security inspections.
Ensure personnel comply with post orders, standard operating procedures, government regulations, and contract requirements.
Monitor workforce performance and maintain accountability, professionalism, and operational readiness.
Conduct patrols and security activities to identify and deter unauthorized activity, security violations, and potential threats.
Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security-related situations in accordance with established procedures.
Conduct personnel, vehicle, building, facility, and package inspections as required.
Communicate effectively with security personnel, government representatives, emergency responders, and site leadership.
Escort visitors, contractors, and government personnel as required.
Support employee development, performance evaluations, and training compliance efforts.
Maintain issued uniforms, weapons, and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in security, military, military police, law enforcement, or a related protective services field.
Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license and be able to operate SUV-style vehicles.
Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret clearance.
Must possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to prepare reports and communicate effectively.
Must possess a valid Social Security card issued by the Social Security Administration.
Must not be prohibited from possessing a firearm under the Lautenberg Amendment.
Must successfully meet all required physical agility standards established by the U.S. Army.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior military police, law enforcement, armed security, or force protection experience.
Experience leading security personnel on Department of Defense or federal government contracts.
Experience with access control, patrol operations, incident response, and physical security programs.
Experience conducting employee evaluations and supporting workforce development initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of security operations, access control procedures, patrol techniques, and incident response practices.
Strong leadership, personnel management, and team-building skills.
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies and high-stress situations.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accountability.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and operational requirements.
