Overview
Join our team supporting the U.S. Marine Corps credentialing mission. As a Badge Refurbishment Technician, you will play a key role in restoring, assembling, packaging, and tracking Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act (LEOSA) badges used by Marine Corps Military Police personnel.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and excels at maintaining accountability for sensitive materials. Working primarily from home, you will independently complete badge refurbishment activities while ensuring strict inventory control and accurate documentation throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Refurbish and prepare USMC MP LEOSA badges for reissue.
- Clean and prepare badge surfaces using company-provided tools and equipment.
- Apply adhesives and securely install badges into new credential wallets.
- Inspect completed products to ensure quality, alignment, and durability standards are met.
- Maintain detailed accountability records and inventory tracking spreadsheets.
- Receive, process, and return badges while maintaining continuous custody and control.
- Identify and report damaged, missing, or discrepant badges and materials.
- Package completed badges and supporting materials for return shipment.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and secure work environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in one or more of the following:
- Inventory control or asset accountability
- Production, assembly, or manufacturing support
- Warehousing or logistics operations
- Quality assurance or quality inspection
- Administrative support involving recordkeeping and tracking
- Skilled trades, maintenance, or similar hands-on technical work
- Experience maintaining accurate records, spreadsheets, or inventory logs.
- Experience following established procedures and work instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Successfully pass background and drug screening
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to maintain strict accountability of sensitive or controlled materials.
- Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools, including drills and similar equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Estimated Salary/Wage
USD $25.00/Hr.
