Mechanical Engineer (all levels) at Charge Robotics in San Leandro, CA

Summary: Charge Robotics is a Series A startup building robots that build solar farms. They are seeking Mechanical Engineers to design, diagnose, and improve critical assemblies for their electromechanical factory and delivery vehicles. Responsibilities: - Designing, building, testing, and iterating on mechanical systems for solar assembly - Tracking, investigating, and resolving hardware issues with robots - Communicating with other engineers to integrate new designs - Playing with some very large mechanisms Required Qualifications: - Are experienced with industry-standard CAD software (we use Onshape) - Know how to fabricate your parts but also know when to send drawings out to a shop - Enjoy working in a fast-paced startup environment - Have excellent written communication skills - Gain satisfaction from personally playing a part in mitigating climate change - Are based in or can relocate to the SF Bay Area, and able to work 4-5 days/week from our San Leandro HQ - Are open to 10-15% travel to field (solar construction sites) to work directly with our product in its deployment environment - Are excited to see our robots deployed onto actual solar farms!
