Logistics Operations Intern

Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and analytical intern to join our team to assist a project focused on
Workforce Management and Continuous Improvement. The core mission is to conduct a
thorough assessment of our current workforce processes, identify gaps, and develop data-driven
recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, flexibility, and forward planning.
Key Responsibilities
• Process Mapping & Gap Assessment: Work directly with DC supervisors and floor staff to
observe and document existing workforce processes, analyzing workflows to identify bottlenecks
and areas for improvement.
• KPI Framework & Analysis: Identify and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for
workforce productivity, developing and testing methodologies for accurate measurement.
• Workload Forecasting & Modeling: Conduct time studies and analyze WMS data to build a
forecasting model that estimates manpower required to meet daily and weekly demands.
• Strategic Recommendations: Provide data-driven recommendations and a strategic framework
for making future workforce scheduling more flexible, optimized, and responsive to
fluctuating demands.
Primary Deliverable
• A comprehensive final report presented to management, detailing findings from the assessment
and culminating in actionable recommendations to drive operational excellence.
We are looking for an intern who has:
• Relevant Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, or a related
field.
• Aptitude for Problem-Solving: A process-oriented thinker with strong analytical skills and
a passion for solving complex operational challenges.
• Analytical Skills: The ability to support research through rigorous data analysis and clear,
concise documentation.
• Presentation Abilities: The autonomy to structure and build a research report and the confidence
to present it to management.
• Communication & Empathy: Excellent communication skills and empathy are essential to
collaborate effectively and understand the day-to-day operations on the DC floor.
