Job Description
Summary: Chai Vision is a fast-growing eCommerce company managing a portfolio of direct-to-consumer brands across various categories. The Junior Product Developer supports the product development process from concept through production, assisting with research, sample tracking, and supplier communication to ensure high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Support products from concept through production, tracking timelines, tasks, and next steps
- Assist with research, revisions, and execution across the product development lifecycle
- Help source new products aligned with the team’s roadmap and company growth targets
- Critically assess product features, materials, and specifications from the customer’s perspective
- Track samples, changes, and revisions throughout the development process
- Communicate updates and follow-ups to overseas suppliers and factories
- Help review specs, packaging, and product details to ensure brand standards are met
- Spot subtle differences in samples and flag quality concerns early
- Keep trackers, documents, and project boards updated with the latest status
- Follow up on open items and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
- Support handoff from development to production with clear, organized documentation
- Work closely with the Head of Product Development and the broader PD team
- Coordinate with Creative, Operations, and Sourcing teams as needed
- Communicate clearly and proactively with internal stakeholders and external partners
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Product Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–2+ years of experience in product development, product management, or sourcing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with overseas suppliers or manufacturers is a plus
- 1–2+ years of experience in product development, sourcing, or a related field (eCommerce or consumer products preferred)
