Job Description
Summary: CFA Institute is seeking an Exam Development Program Analyst to support the systems and processes that power their global credentialing programs. This role involves gathering and documenting business requirements, conducting gap analysis, and collaborating with various teams to ensure operational needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, document, and clarify business and functional requirements related to item banking software and exam development systems
- Support the creation of user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirement documentation to guide technology solutions
- Document current (“as-is”) processes and help design improved (“to-be”) workflows
- Conduct gap analysis and support feasibility assessments for potential solutions
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends, investigate issues, and inform decision-making
- Assist in drafting process diagrams, specifications, and supporting materials for system enhancements
- Participate in discovery discussions, solution evaluation, and roadmap planning activities
- Conduct user testing and validate system updates before release
- Collaborate with product managers, technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational needs
- Facilitate workshops and requirement sessions while clearly communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience in project management, business analysis, systems analysis, or process analysis
- Experience documenting requirements, workflows, and process improvements
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Exposure to Agile methodologies or product development environments
- A proactive mindset with curiosity and the confidence to ask questions and explore solutions
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
