Job Description
Summary: CesiumAstro is a pioneer in developing communication systems for satellites and airborne platforms. They are seeking an Electronics Engineer I to contribute to the design and implementation of advanced RF communication systems in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the full lifecycle design and implementation of board-level and system-level electronics hardware for advanced RF communication systems
- Develop core engineering skills while working alongside a highly experienced team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- Industry experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and test
- Strong EE fundamentals
- Working knowledge of adjacent fields, such as software and mechanical
- Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi meters, or logic analyzers
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to ask questions and implement feedback
Preferred Qualifications:
- PCB layout experience using tools such as Altium, Cadence, or KiCAD. (Altium preferred)
- Experience delivering subcircuit or board designs to production and deployment
- Own key portions of the end-to-end electronics design process, from concept and architecture through schematic, layout, test, and production
- Experience using LTSpice for circuit and/or system level simulations
- Experience implementing microcontrollers or FPGAs into designs
- Complete analysis such as worst-case circuit analysis, signal integrity analysis, and power integrity analysis
- Develop bring-up plans and design verification plans for new circuit elements
