Location: Orlando, Florida
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Finance
Manager to lead daily financial operations, overall Profit and Loss (P&L) performance,
and fiscal compliance across our outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) locations.
This role bridges healthcare accounting, operational profitability, and fund accountability.
The Finance Manager will oversee all day-to-day accounting functions in QuickBooks,
ensure optimal reimbursement across diverse revenue streams (Medicaid, commercial
insurance, self-pay, and government funding), manage grant/settlement funds, and
drive bottom-line efficiency while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- P&L Ownership: Manage all clinic financial performance across revenue streams
- (Medicaid, third-party insurance, self-pay cash dosing, and state/grant programs).
- Financial Analysis & Forecasting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L statements, variance analyses, cash flow forecasts, and operational budgets for leadership.
- Margin Optimization: Identify key cost drivers, monitor dosing medication inventories/costs and manage labor overhead, and recommend strategies to maximize clinic margins.
- QuickBooks Core Management: Execute all general ledger maintenance, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and journal entries in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop).
- Revenue Cycle Supervision: Partner with clinic billing staff to ensure clean claim submission, track patient self-pay collections, manage insurance claim denials, and reconcile patient dosing software (e.g., Methasoft) with financial ledgers.
- Disbursements: Manage medical/office supply vendor disbursements and facility expense allocations in coordination with COO.
- Grant Accounting & Reporting: Track, allocate, and report on local, state , federal (SAMHSA), and Opioid Settlement Funds.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all grant-funded expenditures strictly adhere to funding constraints and GAAP standards. Lead preparation for grant audits, state compliance reviews, and financial monitoring visits.
- Fund Drawdowns: Coordinate reimbursement requests, track budget vs. actual spent per award, and ensure zero unallocated cost leakages.
- Ensure full financial compliance with Florida healthcare regulations, AHCA, Joint
- Commission (JCAHO), and SAMHSA standards governing OTPs.
- Maintain internal control frameworks to prevent fraud, protect cash handling at dosing counters, and safeguard client financial data.
Required Qualifications & Experience
QuickBooks Mastery (Required): Advanced hands-on experience in
QuickBooks (Advanced / Pro / Online) for GL, AR/AP, grant tracking, and
financial reporting.
Experience: 4+ years of healthcare financial management experience.
Experience within an outpatient clinic, behavioral health setting, or Opioid
Treatment Program (OTP/MAT) is strongly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
Administration.
Grant Management: Demonstrated experience managing public healthcare
grants, state/federal funding contracts, or dedicated program funds.
P&L Expertise: Proven track record managing multi-revenue P&L's in a for-profit
environment.
