Job Description
Summary: Center for Internet Security is focused on enhancing cybersecurity through innovative solutions. The Product Intern will assist in exploring how artificial intelligence can transform product ideation, development, and testing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Research and evaluate AI tools and techniques that can accelerate product ideation (e.g., generative AI for brainstorming, user story creation, and requirements gathering)
- Partner with product managers to prototype and test AI-assisted workflows that improve team efficiency
- Support testing efforts by identifying ways AI can enhance test case generation, coverage, and analysis
- Document findings, present recommendations, and contribute to the team's AI adoption roadmap
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, and security teams to validate ideas
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (any year welcome) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Product Design, Business, or a related field
- Genuine interest in AI/ML and hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or similar)
- Strong curiosity about product management and how products are built
- Excellent communication skills — you can translate technical ideas for non-technical audiences
- Self-starter mentality with a bias toward action and ownership
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with product management frameworks (user stories, roadmaps, prioritization)
- Interest in or experience with programming and application development (any language or platform)
- Exposure to Lean thinking principles — you understand how to eliminate waste, run quick experiments, and iterate toward value
- Interest in cybersecurity or prior exposure to the field
- Experience with tools like Jira, Figma, Notion, or similar
- Any coursework or projects involving machine learning, NLP, or data analysis
