We are looking for a Field Application Scientist (m/f/d) to join our international Commercial team on a fixed-term contract for 12-24 months. The position is based in Stuttgart, Germany.
Responsibilities
Support scientific sales conversations by providing product, application, and technical expertise to customers and prospects.
Develop, optimize, and validate automated Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows and laboratory automation applications.
Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during evaluations, demonstrations, installations, onboarding activities, and trainings.
Collaborate closely with the Sales team to understand customer requirements and design tailored automation solutions.
Conduct product demonstrations and application reviews while supporting customers throughout the decision-making and implementation process.
Troubleshoot workflow, application, and automation-related challenges and provide effective technical solutions.
Document customer interactions, technical activities, and service cases within the CRM system and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
Work closely with Sales, Product Management, R&D, and Service teams to represent customer requirements and provide feedback for product improvements.
Create and maintain application notes, protocols, training materials, and customer-facing technical documentation.
Represent DISPENDIX at customer meetings, seminars, conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
Support lead generation and business development activities through scientific presentations and technical expertise.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.Hands-on experience with NGS workflows, molecular biology techniques, and laboratory processes.
Knowledge of laboratory automation, liquid handling technologies, and related software solutions is an advantage.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain scientific concepts to different audiences.
Customer-focused, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a customer-facing environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
Professional proficiency in English; German language skills are beneficial.
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 60% of working time within Germany, Europe, and internationally.
Valid driver's license and willingness to work hands-on with laboratory equipment at customer locations.
