Job Description
Cedar Park Med is hiring experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for an Inpatient Pediatric Biobehavioral Health Unit. This role requires strong behavioral health and acute care experience, along with the ability to provide high-quality patient care with minimal orientation while supporting pediatric patients in a structured, inpatient setting.
Schedule / Shift
- Day shift | 12-hour shifts
- Every other and some holidays weekend required
- 13 weeks assignment with possible extension
Required Qualifications
- Current New York State RN license/registration
- BLS certification (must be able to be re-certified)
- Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity
- Two (2) years of experience in behavioral health
- Experience working in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
- Ability to float to all pediatric inpatient locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using EPIC Electronic Medical Records
Responsibilities
- Perform the majority of patient care skills required in an inpatient pediatric biobehavioral health setting with minimal orientation and supervision
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments appropriate to patient acuity and specialty
- Deliver safe, effective nursing care to pediatric patients in a biobehavioral health unit
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support patient care delivery
