Job Description
Summary: CECO Environmental is a global leader in providing sustainable solutions for industrial air, water, and energy transition. The Engineering Intern is responsible for supporting the Engineering team in conducting engineering studies, developing detailed designs, and supporting global project execution.
Responsibilities:
- Create 3D models
- Create and revise 2D drawings
- Develop technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations
- Confer with other personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develop suitable product
- Attend internal meetings as required
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (2-D), Inventor 3-D and or similar CAD software a plus
- Experience using MS Office, Excel, and other normal business software
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Knowledge of Statics, beam formulas, stresses, pressure vessel
- Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics, and mechanical, electrical, atomic and sub-atomic structures and processes
- Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
- Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
