Summary: CDI Curb Adapters is seeking a Drafting and Design Intern to become a vital part of their engineering flow. In this role, you will create shop paperwork, generate 3D designs, and collaborate with customers and the shop to ensure quality and precision in designs. Responsibilities: - Generate shop paperwork, 3D designs, and work instructions for real orders - Turn sketches and 'napkin ideas' into precise 2D and 3D models - Review completed jobs to ensure our design standards are flawless and dimensions are dead-on - Talk to customers to hunt down missing info and work with the shop to make sure things are built right - If you see a way to make a task faster or better, tell us Required Qualifications: - You know your way around 2D/3D modeling, assembly, and part drawings - You can read a drawing and visualize how sheet metal actually folds - You're comfortable talking to team members and customers alike - Proficiency in Google applications Preferred Qualifications: - SolidWorks Certification (Sheet Metal or Assemblies) - An interest in Sheet Metal Fabrication or the HVAC Industry - Knowledge of Lean Principles or Airflow/Structural analysis Required Skills: 2D modeling, 3D modeling, Assembly modeling, Part drawings, Reading technical drawings, Sheet metal fabrication, SolidWorks, Google applications
