Varsity Wrestling Coach at Catholic Diocese of Memphis in Cordova, TN
Job Description
Description
St. Benedict at Auburndale Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated and faith-driven individual to serve as our Varsity Wrestling Coach. As a Catholic college-preparatory institution, we are committed to developing the whole person — mind, body, and spirit — and we seek a coach who shares that mission and models it daily for our student-athletes.
Responsibilities
The Varsity Wrestling Coach will plan, organize, and lead all aspects of the wrestling program, including practice sessions, conditioning, and game-day preparation. The coach will recruit and develop student-athletes at both the varsity level, foster a culture of discipline, sportsmanship, and Christian character, collaborate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, travel, and program needs, monitor the academic progress and eligibility of all student-athletes, and maintain open and professional communication with parents, staff, and administration.
Requirements
Qualifications
Candidates must be practicing Catholics or individuals who fully support the Catholic mission of the school. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred. Prior coaching or competitive wrestling experience is strongly preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and must be able to pass a diocesan background check and complete all required Safe Environment training.
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience and follows the Diocesan stipend schedule for coaching positions.
To Apply
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, and three professional references to the Office of the Principal at St. Benedict at Auburndale Catholic High School. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
