Job Description
Summary: Caterpillar Inc. is a global team focused on building sustainable communities through innovation and progress. This position is a 12-month internship in the Supply Chain area for students pursuing a bachelor's degree, where interns will analyze and maintain processes for output excellence and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and maintain assigned processes that produce output excellence
- Build expertise for the assigned process area
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Lead project management of process improvement, process development, and process execution for Supply Chain teams
Required Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/ Industrial, other relevant Engineering degree
- Minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.8/4.0 scale (no rounding) at current institution
- Expected graduation date by May 2026
- Analytical skills, initiating ideas, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to work with others of diverse cultures, interpersonal styles, and abilities in a constructive and collaborative manner
- Fundamental understanding of business process designs, engineering for a manufacturing environment, supplier relationship management concepts, and logistics and supply chain management
- Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ability to quickly gain and effectively apply new skills & knowledge
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Participate in and build on our inclusive, constructive, and productive work environment
- Ensure all team member's contributions are recognized and valued
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership involvement in campus outreach, community service and/or extracurricular activities
- Previous business or technical internship/co-op or relevant experience
