Intern - Design/Arizona at Catalyst in Dallas, TX

Summary: Catalyst is seeking a Design Intern to support the Women’s design team in all aspects of the design development process. The intern will assist with trend research, concept development, and the overall design process while also learning day-to-day tasks of the design team. Responsibilities: - Participate in cross-functional meetings and gain an understanding of the role of Design in the product lifecycle - Supports the design team during the product development process - Identify the steps that Design goes through in order to design a line including trend research, concept development, sketching, detailing, and translating into samples - Learn more about the day-to-day tasks accomplished by an Assistant Designer including sketching, creating tech packs and line sheets, communicating with the cross functional team, and preparing for seasonal presentations - Provide research, maintenance, and support for assigned departmental projects and tasks as assigned - Support the design team in exploring and incorporating AI-assisted tools (e.g., ideation, prototyping, asset generation) into day-to-day design work - Participate and provide feedback in group meetings and discussions if applicable - Assist with the preparations of meetings & presentations - Provide administrative assistance, such as filing, record keeping, etc - Perform such other duties as directed by the supervisor Required Qualifications: - Relevant coursework in fashion design - Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence concepts and emerging technologies - Detail oriented individual - Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; strong time management skills - Must be available June 1st - August 7th, 2026, for 40/hours per week - Adhere to regular in-office presence, including engaging in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration - Must have authorization to work in the United States - Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards - Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company's policy - Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day - Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day - Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods - Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level Preferred Qualifications: - Strong familiarity with social media platforms (particularly Instagram and Tik Tok) preferred but not required Required Skills: Fashion design, Trend research, Sketching Important Skills: AI-assisted tools, Social media familiarity
