Job Description
Summary: Catalent is a leading global drug development and delivery company. The Junior Analyst, Corporate Accounting supports the company’s accounting and financial close processes by assisting with journal entries, account reconciliations, and basic financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Track and follow up on reconciling items and open issues
- Maintain supporting documentation for accounting entries and reconciliations
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements
- Help compile data for internal financial reporting and management requests
- Perform basic variance and trend analysis
- Gain exposure to financial statements and corporate accounting processes
- Learn and apply US GAAP concepts through hands‑on work and review feedback
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, required
- Minimum one year of progressive experience in accounting, including Big 4/public accounting or industry experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, formatting, data organization)
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP)
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA, preferred
- Experience in a public company environment or with SEC reporting, preferred
