Job Description
Summary: Cast & Crew is a leading provider of technology and services for the entertainment industry. They are seeking an AI Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in building AI-powered applications that support critical workflows, working alongside experienced engineers and product managers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing AI-powered applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning models, and generative AI tools
- Support the implementation of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows and vector-based search solutions
- Contribute to backend and full-stack development using Python and/or TypeScript
- Help build and test APIs that integrate AI services with internal applications
- Assist in developing and optimizing data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Work with engineers to integrate structured and unstructured data sources into AI systems
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies
- Support documentation of architecture, workflows, and technical decisions
- Help monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve system reliability
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and data teams to understand enterprise security and governance standards
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Foundational programming skills in Python (preferred) or TypeScript/JavaScript
- Basic understanding of APIs, RESTful services, and web application architecture
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as embeddings, model inference, or prompt engineering
- Exposure to databases (SQL or NoSQL) and data processing concepts
- Understanding of Git and version control best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Curiosity about emerging AI technologies and a desire to continuously learn
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Familiarity with vector databases or semantic search tools
- Experience with Docker or basic containerization concepts
- Understanding of data governance, security, or compliance fundamentals
- Experience working on academic or personal AI/ML projects
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines or automated testing practices
