Job Description
Summary: Cassia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing high-quality care for older adults. The Human Resources Associate will record and process employee information, assist with the new hire process, and manage employee benefits and payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for the Elim Wellspring campus
- Assist employees with benefits questions
- Assist coordinating and completing the open enrollment process
- Enter new employees into the HRIS system upon hire and maintain employment files
- Assist new employees with new hire paperwork
- Complete employee reference checks, fingerprinting, and enter background checks in system
- Respond to Verification of Employment surveys
- Answer basic questions from employees pertaining to Benefits, Payroll and policy questions
- Assist with interviews and hiring as needed
- Manage interviews and recruitment program for CNA training
- Manage new employee orientation
- Perform additional tasks as requested
Required Qualifications:
- Must have some knowledge of HR laws and processes
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage work flow, and prioritize deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year of HR experience or an HR related certificate or degree is preferred
- Knowledge of UKG HR software preferred
