Job Description
Summary: Casper Medical Imaging & Outpatient Radiology is committed to providing quality, patient-centered care through advanced medical imaging technology and expert staff. The Business Data Analyst will analyze financial and operational data, develop dashboards, and provide insights to support informed business decisions and improve organizational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the organization’s primary data expert, designing, developing, and maintaining advanced dashboards, reports, and data models to support financial and operational decision-making
- Develop Excel reports that visualize key business metrics, operational performance, and financial results for executive leadership
- Work with the President, CEO, Director of Finance, and operational leaders to identify analytical opportunities that enhance organizational value
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate business initiatives and operational performance
- Translate analytical findings into clear, concise executive-level PowerPoint presentations
- Develop recurring and ad-hoc presentation materials for senior leadership, partners, and board-level discussions
- Clearly communicate complex data stories to non-technical audiences
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of data sources, reports, and dashboards
- Document data definitions, logic, and assumptions used in analysis
- Stay current on best practices in healthcare analytics and data
- Create regular and ad-hoc reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders
- Track profitability of new and existing procedures and service lines
- Support financial reporting, forecasting, and business performance analysis
- Assist with annual budgeting, financial audits, and monthly financial reporting
- Produce executive-ready presentations and analytical summaries
- Utilize data visualization tools such as graphs, dashboards, and infographics to communicate insights clearly
- Analyze company functions, workflows, and operational processes to improve the effectiveness of business applications and financial performance
- Provide daily operational analytics, including volume reporting, to Site Administrators
- Assist in financial performance presentations and variance analysis
- Assist and develop workflow diagrams as needed
- Collaborate with operations leadership in developing financial policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks
- Assist in developing strategic business plans using financial data and forecasting models
- Provides AR billing support and special projects associated with the Billing Accounts Receivable Department
- Provide backup support for the Director of Finance as needed
- Assists the CEO with business planning and market assessments
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role, preferably in healthcare or radiology
- Strong experience with Excel for executive reporting
- Experience working with large, complex datasets and multiple data sources
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (PivotTable, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, etc.)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights
- Strong business judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present to executive leadership
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Must comply with all HIPAA, PHI, ePHI, and OIG requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of healthcare operations and clinical metrics preferred
- Experience in Microsoft Visio, Imagine Billing, RevOps, and/or Quinsite preferred
- Data visualization and reporting expertise
- Experience with statistical or analytical software preferred
