Part-Time Bus Support Paraprofessional (Paraeducator)

We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Part-Time Bus Support Paraprofessional to support K-8 students in a school setting near White Salmon, Washington. This position plays an important role in helping ensure students have a safe, positive, and successful transportation experience while also supporting their educational needs.

Position Details

• Position: Part-Time Bus Support Paraprofessional (Paraeducator)
• Location: Near White Salmon, WA
• Student Population: K-8 Students
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: June 11, 2027
• Schedule: 20 hours per week
  • Typical hours: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Early release days: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $22-$34 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Provide support and supervision for students during transportation and school-related activities.
• Assist students with transitions to and from the bus and school environment.
• Promote student safety and positive behavior while riding the bus.
• Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs as directed by school staff.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, transportation staff, and administrators.
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and supportive environment for all students.

Qualifications

One of the following is required:

• High School Diploma and Paraprofessional Certification
• Associate's Degree (AA)
• Equivalent Paraeducator credentials that meet district requirements
