Job Description
Summary: CareDx, Inc. is a leading precision medicine solutions company focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of clinically differentiated healthcare solutions for transplant patients. This internship supports the Enterprise Integration Services (EIS) team by contributing to real-world healthcare integration projects and provides hands-on exposure to the full integration lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in gathering and documenting integration requirements from technical and business stakeholders
- Support creation and maintenance of interface specifications and data mapping documents
- Collaborate with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) teams to plan, facilitate, and track integration testing
- Write or update code and configuration to transform inbound and outbound messages
- Analyze test results and help triage defects or data issues
- Participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and integration design discussions
- Prepare project status updates and present final outcomes at the end of the internship
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support EIS team objectives
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in healthcare IT, system integration, or interoperability
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks within a project timeline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic proficiency in one or more of the following: SQL, scripting languages, or data analysis tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework or exposure to healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, APIs)
- Experience with integration engines, APIs, or ETL concepts
- Familiarity with software testing or quality assurance processes
- Prior internship, project, or academic experience involving systems integration or data transformation
