Job Description
Summary: CAQH is a trusted data connector at the core of healthcare, seeking a Finance Intern to support core financial operations, planning, and reporting activities. This internship provides hands-on experience in budgeting, financial planning, billing, collections, and financial reporting within a mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the preparation and maintenance of departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial planning models where applicable
- Assisting with variance analysis by comparing actual results to budgeted or forecasted amounts
- Helping prepare financial data and materials for monthly, quarterly, and annual planning cycles
- Assisting with billing processes, including reviewing billing data for completeness and accuracy
- Supporting invoicing activities and helping ensure invoices align with system reports and contractual terms
- Assisting with collections tracking and documentation, including follow‑up support and reporting
- Assisting with the review and reconciliation of expense reports, vendor invoices, and supporting documentation
- Supporting accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, data entry, and audit preparation
- Helping reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies under Finance team guidance
- Supporting the preparation of recurring financial reports, dashboards, and schedules
- Assisting with data validation, reconciliations, and documentation used in internal and external reporting
- Collect, clean, and organize financial and operational data
- Assisting with process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives within Finance
- Supporting ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support accurate financial data flow and reporting
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently admitted to a graduate-level program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial models, pivot tables, or data analysis preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion
- Prior coursework or internship experience in finance, accounting, billing, or financial analysis
- Familiarity with budgeting, financial reporting, or general ledger concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest or experience in Healthcare, Technology, or Finance industries
