Summary: CAPTRUST is offering a paid internship in their Boston, MA office that provides exposure to the inner workings of a wealth management firm. The internship is project-based and educational, focusing on investment management and wealth management industries, while also conducting investment research and evaluating clients from a financial planning perspective. Responsibilities: - The vocabulary of investing: An understanding of investment terminology from stocks to bonds, hybrid securities, and other industry terms​ - Exploration into macroeconomics and macro trends​ - Overview of the financial planning process​ - Overview of the estate planning process​ - Capstone project: compare/contrast investing in two different markets, industries, or companies / financial/estate planning case study - Additional responsibilities to be determined by your immediate supervisor and your assigned mentor Required Qualifications: - Actively pursuing Undergraduate/Graduate degree; rising Junior or First-Semester Senior - all School of Business Majors (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Financial Planning or Taxation preferred) - Ability to prioritize tasks - Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through - Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills - A self-starter who can work independently on assigned projects - Possesses excellent listening skills - Possesses a positive, 'can-do' attitude at all times - Eagerness to learn and increase responsibilities Preferred Qualifications: - Organized Analytical Skills - Problem Solving - Multitasking - Communication Skills - Microsoft Office suite programs Required Skills: Investment terminology, Asset allocation, Diversification, Macroeconomics, Financial planning, Estate planning, Microsoft Office Benefits: Fully stocked break room, Fun employee events
