Job Description
Summary: Capital Impact Partners is a transformative organization focused on improving access to capital and opportunities in communities. They are seeking a highly analytical and motivated Summer Strategy Intern to support the development of corporate strategy, conducting industry research and financial analysis to shape strategic priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct industry and competitive research to inform long-term strategy
- Support development of strategic frameworks (e.g., SWOT, PESTEL, scenario planning)
- Help prepare materials for leadership and board discussions
- Analyze financial, operational, and market data to identify growth opportunities and risks
- Assist in synthesizing findings into executive-ready presentations and strategy memos
- Support internal and external interviews and other stakeholder engagement efforts
- Contribute to development of strategic priorities, KPIs, and implementation roadmaps
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an MBA or relevant graduate program
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience conducting structured research and synthesizing complex information
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior internship or employment experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or impact investing
- Experience with financial modeling or market sizing
- Familiarity with mission-driven finance, CDFIs, or social impact organizations
- Experience building executive-level presentations
