Java Developer with AWS at Capgemini in Hybrid - Bengaluru

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with4-6 years of experience in building scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL, and AWS, along with experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

**Key Responsibilities**

Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications.

Build REST APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.

Develop and optimize database solutions using SQL and Hibernate.

Deploy and support applications on AWS cloud services.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality software solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve application and performance issues.

Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.

**Required Skills**

Strong hands-on experience with Java (Java 8+)

Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate/JPA

Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)

Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and IAM

Knowledge of RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture

Familiarity with Git, JUnit, and Agile development methodologies

**Preferred Skills**

Experience with Docker and Shell Scripting

Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab

Exposure to Next.js and modern web application development

Experience with AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot to improve developer productivity, code quality, and automation
