Job Description
Summary: Campus is seeking experienced, mission-driven, student-centered Web Development instructors to deliver high-impact, online courses as part of their programs. The role involves teaching various aspects of web development, fostering an inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with peers to enhance instructional practices.
Responsibilities:
- Teach 11-week live, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies
- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours
- Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community
- Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course, including mentoring the TA on effective grading and student engagement practices
- Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit mid quarter and end of quarter evaluations
- Collaborate with peers and Campus staff to share best practices and continuously improve instruction
- Contribute to co-curricular programming (e.g., speaker series, networking events) to enrich the student experience
- Stay current on industry and pedagogy trends relevant to your subject area and online teaching
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. (Bachelor's with significant industry and instructional experience may be considered.)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level
- At least 2 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including LMS and video conferencing
- Digital fluency and ability to effectively incorporate AI-powered educational tools into instruction
- Proactive, reliable, and committed to high-quality online education
- Passion for equity, access, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds
- Available to commit 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training
