Job Description
Summary: Calibrate is on a mission to change the way the world treats weight by redefining obesity care. They are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support analytics in running the business and providing insights to clients, helping to analyze data, create dashboards, and ensure timely access to insights for various teams.
Responsibilities:
- Support regular and ad hoc analyses to help answer key business and operational questions
- Assist in tracking KPIs that we use to run the business, and help maintain and improve recurring reports for operating and performance metrics
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards, ensuring teams have access to timely and reliable data for decision-making
- Partner with cross-functional teams (including clinical, coaching, operations, member care, engineering and product) to help identify trends, answer questions, and surface insights
- Assist in monitoring data quality and flagging inconsistencies, anomalies, or potential issues
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering team and senior analysts to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and usability
- Document queries, reports, and data definitions to support transparency and reproducibility
Required Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of experience in a data analyst role, internship, academic research, or similar analytical experience
- Working knowledge of SQL and ability to write basic queries to extract and analyze data
- Experience using Excel and/or Google Sheets for data analysis and manipulation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Mode, Looker, Tableau, or similar)
- Basic familiarity with Python or R
- Experience with and/or passion for working in the healthcare industry
- Familiarity with Git or version control tools
- Basic understanding of data warehousing or data engineering concepts
- Ability to work in a fully remote environment
