As the Health and Human Services Senior Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in leading teams and managing projects aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of health and human services programs.
Job Description
We are looking for a Health and Human Services Senior Consultant to lead teams and manage projects aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of health and human services programs. This position will be Part-Time and Remote as a Long-Term Contract role.
What You’ll Do
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of consultants and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and expertise.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members are aligned with project goals and timelines.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of multiple consulting engagements, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality services and solutions are provided to clients.
Program Analysis and Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of health and human services programs to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Utilize quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate program effectiveness and efficiency.
Develop and implement evaluation frameworks and tools to measure program outcomes.
Policy Development and Implementation:
Research and analyze current policies and regulations affecting health and human services.
Lead the development of policy recommendations and strategic plans to enhance service delivery.
Support the implementation of new policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including government officials, community organizations, and service providers, to gather insights and build consensus.
Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and meetings to discuss program goals, challenges, and solutions.
Provide technical assistance and training to stakeholders on best practices and innovative approaches.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging practices, and technological advancements in health and human services.
Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within programs and processes.
Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and clients to foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
What You'll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Public Administration, or other related social sciences field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in health and human services consulting, program evaluation, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in leading teams, managing projects, and delivering results in a consulting environment.
Proven track record of policy analysis, program development, and stakeholder engagement.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
Preferred:
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SPSS, or similar programs.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person.
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Working Conditions
This position may require occasional travel to client sites and stakeholder meetings.
The Senior Consultant may work in an office setting or remotely, depending on client needs and project requirements.
The role may involve working to meet challenging project deadlines and deliverables.
