Vice President of Security - Full Time (Tropicana Atlantic City)
Location: Atlantic City, NJ, United States
- Direct the operation of the Security division in accordance with New Jersey and Company regulations; this position functions as the Security Department Manager pursuant to regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all investigations conducted by Security personnel, ensuring that each incident to which a Security department employee is assigned is properly recorded.
- Communicate in writing to the credit department of accurate and verifiable information that may be relevant in determining credit worthiness.
- Establish, maintain and control capital and operational budgets for areas of responsibility; develop and implement cost control procedures.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry trends and make recommendations for implementation as appropriate.
- Provide strategic oversight for Security department; recommend best demonstrated practices and efficiencies to property leadership.
- Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Champion, within the organization, a commitment to honesty, integrity, and responsible corporate behavior.
- Create a compliance culture within the organization and foster an environment where employees feel comfortable reporting potential violations or misconduct.
- Ensures staff provides the Family Style Service model at all times.
- The salary for this position starts at $120,000.00 USD, which is dependent on several factors including relevant experience, geography, business needs and market demand. - Responsible for the efficient and economic operation of the department, while ensuring continuous service improvement.
- Responsible for enforcement of the law and Company rules and regulation.
- Responsible for the physical safety of patrons and employees.
- Responsible for the detainment, for probable cause, of persons that may be engaged in illegal conduct, for the purpose of notifying law enforcement or other authorities.
- Responsible for the safeguarding of assets transported within the facility and for timely notification of any incidents, as required by law.
- Responsible for developing and implementing service standards.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Provide leadership, direction and support for all employees to achieve property, regional and corporate goals.
- Responsible for approving appropriate employee transactions (hiring, promoting, salary adjustments, etc.)
- Lead an organization with methods and actions that are ethical and in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in Security or law enforcement experience, with minimum of five years in management capacity.
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communications skills.
- Must have extensive computer knowledge.
- New Jersey KEY License Required/ Management Disclosure Form.
- Key Qualifier.
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License required.
