ANALYST FINANCIAL - FULL TIME, PLANNING & ANALYSIS (HARRAH'S SOCAL) Location: Valley Center, CA, United States This role acts as an integral part of the financial/strategic planning team by providing analytical support to all internal operating departments.  Performs research and analysis of the competitive environment.  Assists in all areas of the annual Budget, and Long-Range Plan preparation, as well as preparation of monthly financial and operational reports. • Supports function of the Financial Analyst III and Department Manager.  • Coordinates competitive information base.  • Organizes data residing in the Financial Planning Dept.  • Able to retrieve needed data from a variety of sources, including, but not limited to the casino system, and SDS system.  • Works with operating departments to help Department on a day-to-day basis.  • Assists as needed in preparing budgets, operating reviews, and financial packages for presentation.  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.  • Communicates clearly both orally and thorough written analysis, charts and graphs. • Fluent in use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Access, Word and PowerPoint).  • Able to quickly learn other IT software.  • Knowledge of makeup of financial statements.  • Familiar with general financial principles including but not limited to the concepts of net present value, internal rate of return, return on investment.  • Strong organizational and time management skills.  • Must work well with multi-functional work teams and be willing to take initiative.  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.  • Knowledge of gaming industry is preferred.  • Two years work experience in this or related field.  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
