Job Description
Maintenance Manager
Location: Edinburgh
The Maintenance Manager (MM) is responsible to the Maintenance Services Lead IPAC (MSL) for the overall management and coordination of CAE resources (maintenance and support personnel), maintenance personnel training and development, supply support operations, budget and operational maintenance requirements of the training devices, across all sites under their control.
The MM is responsible to ensure the successful delivery of all maintenance and supply support services to ensure end user training outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints across all sites under their control. The role also ensures that all training devices under their control are maintained and serviced in according with regulatory requirements and certifications.
As an MM, you will be responsible for a team of Simulator Technicians on site, managing the team’s roster as well as their professional development within CAE.
Description
Drive and improve maintenance efficiency
Ensure CAE meets its contracted obligations relating to customer training success
Ensure staffing and training of all required personnel is achieved
Lead by example, displaying exemplary leadership to the team, stakeholders and employees
Promote and execute CAE’s Quality Management System
Deploy and continuously improve all appropriate processes, procedures and work instructions
Deliver inputs to budget and forecasting
Promote and execute CAE’s Environment, Health & Safety Management System
Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience managing a team
Experience in a technician or maintenance related role
Ideally hold experience within the aviation and/or defence industries
Ability to obtain/maintain an Australian Defence Security Clerance – must be an AU Citizen!
Ability to work on-site 5 days a week at RAAF Base Edinburgh
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with simulation devices/technology
Ability to stand in and support other sites if required
