Job Description
Summary: Cadent is a company that ignites seamless connections between brands, publishers, and consumers through predictive AI. They are seeking a motivated and curious QA Engineer Intern for the Summer term, where the intern will work on creating test automation scripts and present an individual project to the Tech Leadership team at the end of the program.
Responsibilities:
- Attend team meetings
- Perform research
- Create test automation scripts and log defects
- Provide administrative support to their supervisor and teammates
Required Qualifications:
- A junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree at a college or university majoring in Computer Science, Mathematics or a field closely related to the department they are interning in
- Able to commit to a full-time (40 hours per week) work schedule for the duration of the internship
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn from a rapidly growing company
- Confident to take initiative and collaborate with teammates
- Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
- Basic programming experience in Java or Python
- Working knowledge VS Code or similar IDE, and basic understanding of version control (Git)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
- Basic understanding of big data concepts (ETL, data pipelines, data warehouses)
- Exposure to or interest in using Gen AI tools to improve testing, automation, or analysis workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic awareness or familiarity with Databricks
- Familiarity with common data formats such as CSV, JSON, or Parquet
- Exposure to testing tools and bug tracking systems such as Jira
