Job Description
Summary: Cadence is a technology company focused on developing leaders and innovators. The Finance Transformation Intern will support the Finance team in executing digital transformation initiatives, AI integration, and enhancing operational efficiency through collaboration and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Support strategy, analysis, and roadmap of solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
- Partner with stakeholders to identify, scope, and deliver AI and automation proof‑of‑concepts, focused on practical use cases for the Finance organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide support for digital projects
- Contribute ideas and insights aimed at driving innovation and continuous improvement
- Help develop documentation to facilitate the adoption of new digital solutions
- Assist worldwide Finance and business teams with completion of tasks as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business or a related quantitative field
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to break down problems and help translate business needs into practical solutions or prototypes
- Interest in applied AI, with some hands‑on experience building or experimenting with AI agents or AI‑enabled automations/workflows
- Exposure to process documentation and data analysis with attention to detail and the ability to align inputs and support decision‑making
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Excel) and willingness to learn new software applications
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Finance and cross‑functional teams
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
- Able to commit to a minimum 12‑week internship (May–August) and relocate to the Bay Area, California, for the duration of the program
