Location: BYU–Hawaii

Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

Position Scope
• Assist in shooting, producing, and editing short-form photo and video content.
• Re-cut and reformat video clips under supervision.
• Schedule social media posts across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).
• Engages actively with the online community to build brand loyalty and manage reputation.
Required Qualifications
• Fluent in Japanese and able to write and express information verbally.
• Familiar with social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Yelp and Trip Advisor.
• Familiar with computer software programs such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Use various photo, video, and audio equipment such as DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, video cameras, GoPro cameras, audio mics, and boom mics.
• Willing to learn piloting a drone, capturing quality video and photos.
• Full range body movement and can lift 25 to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must attach resume, current semester class schedule (weekly view) and a copy of your Portfolio Design.
Base Rate Per Hour
$16.00
Work Schedule
19 hours; M-F (and special events)
Approximate starting hourly rate:
$14.00 - $16.00
The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
