Job Description
Position Overview
Assistant Coach/Director of Player Personnel will assist with roster management and development of our student-athletes. Recruiting, retaining and developing high-achieving student athletes is imperative to the success of the Women’s Basketball program and in turn the overall reach and success of the athletics department.
Responsibilities
Recruit top talent, create plans and programs for individual and team skill development, and ensure our student-athletes perform at their best both on the court and academically
Evaluation and recruitment of academically qualified and highly skilled student-athletes.
Provide administrative, instructional and coaching assistance to the Head Coach.
Lead community engagement opportunities and community relations
Foster meaningful relationships and building trust with student-athletes, coordinating and implementing various programs and initiatives
Responsible for the planning, preparation and execution of camps
Other duties as assigned by Head Coach.
Required Qualifications
Earned four-year baccalaureate degree required or equivalent experience
Outstanding verbal communication and leadership skills
Able to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within college athletics as a coach or administrator
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations required.
