Position Type: Full-time, On-site
Role Overview:
Butler Engineering is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support the financial and accounting operations of our growing organization within the Fire Engineering & Life Safety industry.
This role is suited for someone who is organized, accurate, responsible, and capable of independently handling day-to-day accounting activities while coordinating effectively with management and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting and financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, payment records, and supporting documentation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Monitor client payments, outstanding receivables, and payment follow-ups.
- Assist with VAT calculations, filing, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare periodic financial reports and support management with financial information.
- Coordinate payroll and employee-related financial records as required.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.
- Coordinate with auditors and support audit requirements.
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in all financial activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in the UAE.
- Good knowledge of UAE accounting practices and VAT requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Professional communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
