We are seeking a visionary Head of Design to lead our design team and drive the creation of exceptional product and brand experiences. This candidate will join a well-funded, fast-growing technology startup with the unique opportunity to help build out a critical function for the company.
Role Overview: As the Head of Design, you will be at the forefront of shaping our product’s user experience and elevating our brand’s visual identity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design excellence across all customer touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of talented designers in both product and brand design functions.
Develop and execute design strategies that align with our company’s business goals.
Oversee the entire design process, from concept to delivery, ensuring high-quality standards.
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the design team.
Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to create cohesive and impactful design solutions.
Establish and maintain design systems and guidelines to ensure brand consistency.
Present design concepts and deliverables to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in design, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in product design, UX/UI, and brand development.
Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, and others.
Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing and inspiring design teams.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
A strategic thinker with a user-centered design approach.
Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS or tech environment is preferred.
Bonus:
You have experience in and around the speciality contractor or construction world
You have experience at a high growth vertical SAAS startup
Familiarity (ideally expertise) with Salesforce, JIRA, Slack, Confluence
