Job Description
Summary: Builders FirstSource is America’s largest supplier of building materials and is seeking an Associate Engineer in IT to support their IT Field Operations team. This role involves frequent travel to various locations for on-site support, focusing on network infrastructure setup, user support, and system maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Works with senior team members on workflow around system upgrades
- Deploys required patches for identified gaps
- Performs routine operating system and hardware preventative maintenance based on hardware and operating system best practices
- Supports selection and/ or deployment of tools and processes to support operations and administration of enterprise infrastructure
- Understands and consults on system backup plan, documenting, and logging process
- Tests disaster/system recovery and provides input to updates
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- 0-2 years relevant work experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in AutoCAD (any drawing/engineer software)
- Cabling infrastructure installation, and/or experience in Network design installation

Benefits: In addition to the base wage listed, this position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law., Eligibility and the amount of the bonus varies based on overall company success, thresholds met and other terms and conditions of the Company’s active bonus policy for the respective year., This role is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance plans, 401(k) retirement savings plan, PTO (including paid sick time), and 8 paid holidays per year (for salaried and hourly team members).
