Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Within our head office at N11. Near both Thameslink and the Underground
Schedule: Monday to Friday. Four days a week in the office, one from home

Builder Depot is a family run trade builders' merchant in North London. Five branches. Over 350 staff. Around £150m turnover. Our website sells over £20m a year and we want it to be the best in the trade.
About the Role
We are in the middle of a business wide digital transformation. New software. AI. Better ways of working across the whole company. The digital team is a key department here and it sits at the centre of that change. We are looking for someone seriously good to join it and take ownership of the website day to day. You will help guide how the site looks and how it works and you will help make the decisions that shape it. You will be given real guidance and real responsibility from day one. And what you build goes live fast.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day running of the website: content, landing pages and promotions
- Help provide guidance on web design, user flows, UI/UX and split testing
- Help QA web development before and after releases go live
- Work closely with and help manage our web development team
- Help manage and optimise the systems behind the website, and support colleagues on the tools we use
- Monitor web analytics reporting and recommend changes that improve conversion rates and customer experience
- Help support and implement SEO changes and recommendations on the website
- Help manage our digital marketing, including Google Ads (PPC), email marketing and the product feed
- Make use of AI tools to improve day to day work and efficiency
Candidate Requirements
- A can do attitude. Technical, with the commercial sense and people skills to match
- Uses AI tools daily and can judge whether the output is right
- Data driven and comfortable with analytics tools such as GA4
- Strong attention to detail
- Thinks outside the box and enjoys taking the lead
- Excellent oral and written communication, proactive in providing updates and guidance
- Programming experience is a plus, as is experience managing tickets and working with third party developers
