Otter Tail Power Company is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Inventory Assistant to provide administrative support for our Central Stores operations. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting inventory transactions, coordinating administrative activities, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position will report to the Supervisor Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the Central Stores office, including scheduling meetings, preparing and formatting presentations, and distributing meeting materials.
- Analyze and verify accounting and project information to ensure accurate entry of inventory transactions, including Material Requisitions and field As-Built documentation.
- Maintain, analyze, and accurately process inventory transactions in Oracle, including shipping, receiving, issues, and receipts.
- Administer inventory-related processes and support the accurate maintenance of centralized inventory records.
- Partner with the Fixed Assets Department to reconcile capital and expense work orders, investigate discrepancies, and complete necessary material adjustments.
- Provide office support for the reconciliation and sale of scrap equipment.
- Complete a variety of administrative and facility-related duties, including ordering office and warehouse supplies and coordinating routine facility checks.
- Follow company accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX compliance requirements while supporting accurate recordkeeping and reporting.
- Deliver excellent customer service and serve as a key resource for internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred minimum of five years of office administrative experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using Oracle or similar enterprise systems is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectively with employees across the organization.
- Ability to learn new systems and applications as business needs evolve.

- The expected offer for base compensation for this role is $40,000 - $54,000 annually. The actual compensation within the compensation range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
