Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Bruker in Eden Prairie, MN

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will support engineering and production activities for the Hysitron product line, engage in engineering problem-solving, and assist with instrument assembly and quality-related tasks. Responsibilities: - Support engineering design modifications including ECOs, validation testing, and documentation - Troubleshoot instruments, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions - Contribute to quality control activities including instrument testing and component evaluation - Assist with hands ‑ on assembly of prototypes and production components - Collect and analyze data to support engineering, production, and applications teams - Collaborate professionally with engineers and technicians - Perform additional project ‑ based duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Minimum a sophomore level, currently enrolled in an accredited technical school or university with a major in nanoscience, electronics or engineering - Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude - General PC skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office - Demonstrated ability to work in team environment - Self-motivated with good time management skills - Effective written and oral communication skills - Ability to manipulate small parts with tweezers under magnification - Moderate walking, standing, sitting, and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching - Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; exposure to dampness and humidity; work on ladders and scaffolding; exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces Required Skills: Mechanical aptitude Important Skills: Microsoft Office Nice-to-Have Skills: Manipulating small parts Benefits: Medical, Dental, 401(k), Paid vacation, Holidays, Tuition assistance (as applicable)
