Job Description
Summary: Brown University is seeking a Program Coordinator for their Comprehensive Epilepsy Program (CEP) at Rhode Island Hospital. The role involves managing program implementation, coordinating multidisciplinary team meetings, overseeing budget and expenses, and ensuring effective communication among various specialists to provide comprehensive care for patients with seizures and epilepsy.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee program(s) implementation and completion, including all participant triage through program. Including pre surgical testing and outpatient visits
- Work closely with nursing team to set up timeline for surgical cases and work with the assigned RN to ensure patients are medically cleared
- Oversee, develop, and continually monitor program budget and expenses
- Major focus on tracking and maintaining program data, as well as translating data to communicate department accomplishments and milestones. Maintains patient surgical outcomes, tracks program volumes
- Schedule and facilitate regular Weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, ensuring participation from all necessary departments (Neuropsychology, Neurosurgery, Neurology Etc.)
- Central point of contact for teams across multiple specialties to coordinate patient/case care planning meetings
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and case materials in advance to ensure efficient, prepared discussions
- Records CEP meeting minutes to come up with consensus on what surgical path the patient should take with the help of fellow come up with Post Conf Note
- Coordinate all documentation to CME office signed paperwork to ensure attendees are getting CME Credits
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred with appropriate experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to engage with a broad range of people
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with strict attention to detail
- Ability to function independently with a high degree of flexibility
- Ability to collect, analyze, and present data
- Possesses strong work ethic and is a self-starter
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Program/Project Coordinator experience preferred but not required
- Previous experience in administrative and/or clinical settings
