Job Description
Summary: Brown & Brown is a company built on meritocracy with a unique culture that rewards self-starters. The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team with various administrative, recruiting, onboarding, and learning & development activities, gaining hands-on exposure to core HR functions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and operational support for HR projects and initiatives
- Assist with recruitment activities, including resume review, interview scheduling, candidate follow‑up, and communications
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, including documentation and coordination
- Assist with learning and development initiatives, reporting, and data maintenance
- Support Culture Committee projects and virtual events
- Draft HR announcements and all‑teammate communications under the direction of the HR team
- Assists to prepare HR documents, including offer letters and employment agreements, under HR team guidance
- Maintain accurate records while handling confidential employee information
- Communicate professionally with teammates, candidates, and leaders
Required Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate college degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information
- Professional demeanor with a willingness to learn and accept feedback
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and summarize written information accurately
- Ability to commit to the summer internship term
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PowerPoint
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
