Summary: Brown & Brown is seeking a Finance Intern to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL. This internship provides an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to contribute meaningful work and gain experience in finance and accounting. Responsibilities: - Collect, transact, reconcile and record insurance carrier commissions statements and payments - Support the completion of tasks based on department requirements, standard accounting principles, deliverables, and recommendations. Analyze, identify and record unearned commissions - Leverage software automation for process efficiencies - Promote teamwork, support and knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office - Actively participate and engage with all aspects of the internship program - Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance - Timely and reliable attendance - Perform other duties as assigned by department leader - Assist in other areas of department or other departments as required Required Qualifications: - Students should be working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration - GPA minimum of 3.0 - Foundational knowledge of financial accounting principles - Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
