They are seeking an Investment Risk Analyst to support the Investment Risk Team by assessing investment risks, analyzing data, and collaborating with investment professionals to enhance risk oversight and reporting. Responsibilities: - Monitor and identify investments risk across assets classes including equities, fixed income, hedge funds, private equity, and real estate - Develop automated/scalable solutions to facilitate investment risk oversight - Analyze and process large data sets to identify trends and significant changes in investment risks - Prepare materials and presentations for firm leadership and the Investment Risk team - Assist in developing investment risk dashboards utilizing Bloomberg, Snowflake, Python, and Tableau - Collaborate and discuss investment risk analysis with portfolio managers and other investment professionals across the firm - Support implementation of strategic roadmap initiatives, which include tech identification, reporting enhancements, and data integrations - Conduct ad hoc analysis to evaluate investment risks associated with specific market events and effectively communicate findings to investment teams and firm leadership - Support team members through active mentorship and sharing investment/market knowledge - Respond to client specific investment risk related requests Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required - 1-4 years of experience required - Prior experience in assessing investment risk or investment decision making required - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical skills, including market data analytics - Experience with financial modeling - Highly organized and detail oriented - Must excel at working independently as well as part of a team - Ability to adapt, prioritize, and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - Possess a high level of personal integrity - Ability to work in our New York office location five days a week - Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization Preferred Qualifications: - Work toward advanced education, MBA, CFA, or other relevant designation preferred - Working knowledge of Bloomberg PORT preferred - Experience in programming languages (VBA, R, Python, etc.) preferred - Strong experience in visualization software, like Tableau - Excellent understanding of financial markets and products, including Alternatives preferred Required Skills: Investment risk assessment, Data analysis, Financial modeling Important Skills: Bloomberg PORT, Programming VBA, Programming R, Programming Python, Visualization software (Tableau) Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical skills Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Wellness program participation incentive, Financial wellness program, Fitness event fee reimbursement, Gym membership discounts, Colleague Assistance Program, Telemedicine Program (for those enrolled in Medical), Adoption Benefits, Daycare late pick-up fee reimbursement, Basic Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, Voluntary Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance, Short Term Disability, Paid parental leave, Group Long Term Disability, Pet Insurance, 401(k) (50% employer match up to IRS limit, 4 year vesting)
