Community Liaison, Business Development at BrightStar Care · Honolulu
Skills
Job Description
BrightStar Care of Honolulu is looking for an exceptional relationship builder who can turn genuine human connection into meaningful growth.
This is not a role built around handing out business cards or delivering canned sales pitches. You will meet families searching for care, healthcare professionals looking for trusted resources, caregivers considering their next opportunity, and community partners throughout Oʻahu.
Your job is to listen, understand what matters, build trust, communicate BrightStar's value, and confidently move relationships toward the right next step.
What You'll Own
- Client inquiries: Talk with prospective clients and families, uncover what they truly need, explain how BrightStar can help, and guide them toward the appropriate next step.
- Community relationships: Build meaningful referral relationships with healthcare professionals, senior communities, organizations, schools, and other partners across Oʻahu.
- Business development: Ask for referrals, introductions, meetings, and opportunities. You do not need to be pushy, but you do need to be comfortable asking.
- Caregiver outreach: Help great caregivers discover BrightStar through schools, events, community partnerships, and direct relationship-building.
- Sensi AI: Educate families and community partners about our care technology and identify opportunities where it can create value.
- Follow-through: Track conversations, keep commitments, document next steps, and make sure promising opportunities do not fall through the cracks.
You'll Thrive Here If
- You genuinely enjoy people and quickly make others feel comfortable.
- You are curious, listen closely, and ask thoughtful follow-up questions.
- You can hear someone's problem and connect it to a compelling solution.
- You naturally build relationships people remember.
- You are comfortable influencing decisions and asking for the next step.
- You take initiative and create opportunities rather than waiting for work to come to you.
- You are equally strong at building relationships and following through afterward.
- You want to deeply understand what makes BrightStar different and become someone who can represent it with genuine conviction.
Experience in healthcare, business development, hospitality, recruiting, account management, community outreach, partnerships, or another relationship-driven field is valuable. Who you are with people and how you execute matters more to us than having one specific background.
A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout Oʻahu are required. Occasional early morning, evening, and weekend community events are part of the role.
